The Elementary School at Saint Maur seeks to develop the full potential of each child, irrespective of ability and knowledge of English, not only academically, but also morally, creatively, practically, and socially, and to build self-esteem, tolerance, sensitivity, and awareness.

Our Elementary curricular program includes Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Japanese, Language Skills, Religious Studies and Lions Quest, Technology, Art, General,Vocal & Instrumental Music, Physical Education, and Library Skills.

During the 2004-2005 academic year, Saint Maur became the first international school in Japan to implement the International Primary Curriculum (IPC.) It is a modern curriculum used by over 1000 national and international schools throughout the world. The global nature and widespread use of this curriculum is designed to allow students to make a smooth transition into other international schools or to schools in their home countries.
