Summer School 2017 will be offered ONLY for Pre-school children from 2.5 to 5 years of age and for children entering Grade 1 in the fall of 2017 (Gr. 1 Headstart Program).

Semester 1 Reports for elementary school students will be published to the Veracross parent portal tomorrow (Friday, December 16) afternoon.
Four more seniors received their first acceptances in China, Britain, and the United States!

Saint Maur will be hosting the Kanto MS Girls Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, November 5. There will be total of 7 schools participating in the tournament and Saint Maur plays Nishimachi in the first round at 10:15am. There will be food and drinks sold throughout the day. Please come and support our team!
On Thursday November 3rd, Saint Maur will be running their annual Sports Day for Elementary, Middle and High School. The Elementary Sports Day will run from 8am -12 noon, where students will be dismissed from Futaba field. The events will be at the recreation/tennis court area, gym and Futaba field. Middle School Sports Day will run from 1pm - 3:30pm, with all events at Futaba field. The High School will be running their Sports Day all day, starting at Peverly place and then moving to the gym at 11:30am.
Five high school runners participated in an optional training race held at Tama Hills on Saturday. Ken J. made history again by lowering his PR to 16:02 from 16:34 on the boys’ 4,417m course He is now ranked third in Saint Maur’s all time top ten runners (male). Allison H., also the third on the list of Saint Maur’s all time top ten (female), lowered her PR to 14:08 from 14:11 on the girls’ 3,305m course.
On Saturday, November 19th, Saint Maur successfully hosted the annual KPASS Speech Contest. Staff and students worked tirelessly throughout the day in order to ensure the smooth running of this huge event. In total, six schools from the Kanto region participated in the contest. Saint Maur garnered third place, with medals for every student and All-Stars (the top award in a category) for Yuka Sooda in Storytelling and Luigi Barrios in Humorous. Saint Maur will host the annual KPASS Speech Contest this Saturday, November 19th, beginning at 9 am in the Auditorium. The event is open to everyone, so please come along to see some fine speeches from six different schools and to support the Saint Maur speakers.
Last chance to purchase discount tickets (500 yen for students and 1,000 yen for adults) for the High School Drama Club's production of "Cyrano de Bergerac" at the school store. Ticket sales end on Wednesday, November 9th. Tickets will be available at the door but they will be double the discount price.

The FIRST EVER Irish Dance competition in Japan, hosted by our Irish Dance Club instructor, Ms. Tomoko Shirasawa, took place at the YC&AC on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Two 4-hour First Aid & CPR Training sessions for adults were offered on our campus on Nov. 24 & 25, 2016. Participants learned to identify emergency situations, practice the Rautek manoeuver, use an AED device, practice CPR, recovery positions, identify vital compression points, and much more! Many thanks to the First Aid trainers Connie Baker, Kristi Hays and Gilles Gaury, all of whom volunteered their time and expertise to make this course possible. Another senior has been accepted to university in the U.S., while a Conditional Offer from a British university has also arrived! Merry Christmas to all students and parents, with hopes for a Happy New Year in 2017 with many university and college acceptances!
