Welcome Back from Mr. Citrano

Posted August 9, 2012

Dear Saint Maur Middle and High School Families,

Welcome Back to the 2012-13 School Year!

I sincerely hope that you had a peaceful and joyful summer. We look forward to having you back in the hallways and classrooms here at Saint Maur. As you take a look around, you’ll be pleased to see new technological upgrades and other improvements throughout the school. I also encourage you to visit our new, dynamic Saint Maur website at http://www.stmaur.ac.jp . With loads of new information and features as well as continuously updated calendar and news at your fingertips, we hope that you will find it a useful tool.

I wanted to bring you up-to-date with the events of the first days of school so that you know what to expect. We have some new and exciting things to share with you and want you to be able to take advantage of them all.

New students, as well as 6th and 9th Grade parents and students, should attend their respective orientation sessions on Wednesday, August 22nd. All students are required to be at school on Thursday, August 23rd (shortened day) and Friday, August 24th (first full day of Semester 1).

Secondly, in order to help students get all of the complete information they need (as well as the opportunity to sign-up) for MS and HS Clubs, Activities, Sports, & Fine Arts, we will be doing something totally different this year. We will be running two different CLUB & ACTIVITY FAIRS – one each for MS and HS – in the Upper Rec Hall on Thursday, August 23rd (MS CLUB & ACTIVITY FAIR 10:30-11:15am then HS CLUB & ACTIVITY FAIR 11:30-12:15). Students, please plan on attending your respective CLUB & ACTIVITY FAIR!

At these Fairs, the Club, Activity, Sports, and Fine Arts Moderators/Coaches will be seated at labeled tables around the inside of the Upper Rec Hall. Students will be able to walk around and get info on - and sign up for – the wide variety of various clubs & activities we offer at Saint Maur. For your perusal prior to the Club and Activity Fairs, please see the 2012-2013 Clubs & Activities Guide (MS Excel needed to view this document).

Looking forward to a successful 2012-13 school year,
