Dear Montessori, Elementary and French School Parents, Students and Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our families and students to the 2012-2013 school year and to introduce myself to those of you whom I have yet to meet. Whether you are new, or returning, I hope that you have had a restful and enjoyable summer and that you are excited about this year!
As you may be aware I have been appointed as the Montessori Pre-School and Elementary Principal and, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I joined the Saint Maur family last year as did my eldest daughter. My two other children joined in April of last year, at the end of the Japanese school year. My husband is Japanese and we have recently relocated from Tokyo to Yokohama. My children and I are incredibly happy here at Saint Maur and it is the best decision that we ever made!
My career now spans twenty years and two countries. I began my career in Australia, came to Japan for 5 years, went home for 7 years and am now back for my 6th year in Japan. I have worked at a number of schools in Australia and 2 international schools in Japan. I hold both a Bachelor of Education and a Master's of Education and I love what I do!
I am very excited about this school year and I look forward to helping our children to grow and learn. I look forward to next week when the halls are filled with the excited chatter of children and parents.
