Dedicated to fostering lifelong problem solvers, the Mathematics Department employs a robust curriculum and rich problem-solving opportunities. We provide students with the platform to hone their critical thinking abilities while also facilitating engagement with the world of Mathematics.

The Mathematics Department aims to adapt to the distinct mathematical requirements of each student at Saint Maur. Whether students aspire to thrive in advanced mathematical pursuits at university or aim to cultivate the capacity to navigate numeric intricacies in their everyday lives, we empower them with the essential skills needed to succeed.

$Research$

HIGH SCHOOL MATH CLUB

The student-initiated Math Club meets weekly to tackle challenging contest paper problems and exchange mathematical strategies. Beyond their weekly meetings, these math enthusiasts also compete in prestigious competitions like the AMC (American Mathematics Competitions) and CEMC (Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing).

$Research$

A rewarding experience with concrete outcomes

Students are taught in small groups, allowing for quality, differentiated learning. Successes are celebrated in and out of class and culminate at the end of the school year with the awarding of four Linguists of the Year prizes. In an ever-expanding global society, graduates reap the benefits of studying a world language as early as University applications. We currently have graduates in Spain (Universidad de Navarra), France (Science Po) and Québec (Mc Gill University).
