Celebrating Setsubun With A Sushi Making Class
Students in the Japanese Grade 7 Heritage and B class completed the food topic last semester. On Monday, February 4th, the students had a sushi lesson for Setsubun!
It is celebrated on the day before the first day of spring according to Japanese old lunar calendar. There are two main famous celebrations: throwing beans and eating a type of sushi. Thank you to Mr. Nakashima for visiting Saint Maur and teaching the Grade 7 students how to make sushi!
