Saint Maur International School is Japan's leading Trinity Music Examination Centre and every year in May, many of our students (in addition to many external candidates) take these qualifications.

These are prestigious and internationally recognised performance qualifications issued by the famous Trinity College conservatoire in London. Students who are signed up to our private instrumental lesson program typically take part, as this provides a robust curriculum with the opportunity to record a solo recital at the end of the academic year.

In 2025, 115 Saint Maur students received Trinity qualifications. 33 were from Elementary School and 82 from Secondary School. The mean score was 76.4%, which is a high Merit grade. A particular highlight is that 22 students completed advanced qualifications at Trinity Grades 6, 7 and 8, worth a significant number of UCAS entry points for universities in the UK. Even more impressively, 12 of these advanced awards were achieved by Middle School students, with one Grade 7 student even scoring a Distinction at Trinity Grade 8.

In terms of percentage scores, 9 students scored over 90%, with the highest score being an outstanding 95%. These results reflect real dedication to musical achievement across the school.
