Secondary School

Middle School (MS) Mathematics teacher for an August 2026 start

We are seeking an experienced and competent Mathematics Teacher to teach, guide, and inspire our Middle School Math students, Grades 6-8. 

There is also the possibility of General Science Middle School teaching responsibilities.

The role includes contributing to our school community through supportive pastoral care duties.

Prior coaching experience in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, or Cross Country is welcome, giving an exciting opportunity to lead teams, build character, and extend your impact beyond the classroom!

Qualifications & Experience

A candidate will be considered qualified for a position if they have all of the following professional certifications/competencies:-

  • be qualified and hold a teaching credential in the subject(s) they are applying for;
  • have had a minimum of three or more years of full-time teaching experience within a recognized English-medium educational system, preferably in a multi-cultural setting;
  • be able to confidently address the needs of students across a range of abilities, incorporating support for English as a second language learners;
  • be able to effectively utilize technology - Saint Maur is a Google School; 
  • have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • model strong organizational skills with attention to fine details, and
  • be both a leader and have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following student-related duties:-

  • Delivering engaging lessons and learning experiences both with and without technology;
  • Creating lesson plans that align with student needs;
  • Providing timely feedback on student performance;
  • Assessing student progress regularly through formative approaches and moderation of summative assessments;
  • Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives;
  • Leading extracurricular activities;
  • Providing pastoral care that is in alignment with the school’s mission and values.

At least two of the four people should be past employers, plus one who is the present employer, and one from a current principal or direct manager/supervisor.
