Summer School
ACTIVITIES
Montessori Preschool (2½ - 5 year old children)
- Ms. Sallie Inoue
- Mrs. Alka Almoula
- Mrs. Catherine Masuda
- Ms. Chitose Kunishima
The Montessori Summer School follows the Montessori philosophy of having a mixed age group of children from 2 1/2 to 5 years old. We will be working on gaining independence and confidence through the many hands-on activities the children will engage in during Activity Time. There will also be Group Lessons, which will include themes, singing, dancing and stories. In addition to this, there will be lots of opportunities for collaboration and to use and practice English. There will be many activities for the children of all ages to enjoy!
Please note that there will be a "rest time" for children three years and under.
As a full-day program, the children will be having their lunch at school, which will be provided by Cezar’s Kitchen. Alternatively, if you prefer to bring in a bento, you are welcome to do so.
Grades 1 and 2
- Miss Rachael de-Bourne
- Ms. Yuri Kase
The Grade 1 and 2 program will be using the International Primary Curriculum.
- Week 1: Buildings - We will look at world-famous buildings and design our own buildings.
- Week 2: All Dressed Up - We will explore clothing and materials.
- Week 3: From A to B - We will look at journeys.
It will offer the students a chance to develop their creativity, language arts skills, maths and social skills with themes that are engaging and fun.
As a full-day program, the children will be having their lunch at school, which will be provided by Cezar’s Kitchen. Alternatively, if you prefer to bring in a bento, you are welcome to do so.
