Historic Success: Saint Maur Hosts First KPASS Dance Festival

Last weekend, Saint Maur proudly hosted the inaugural KPASS Dance Festival. We welcomed approximately 100 students from seven international schools in Yokohama and Tokyo, including The American School in Japan, Aoba Japan International School, International School of Sacred Heart, Malvern College Tokyo and Seisen.

The event featured dance workshops in various styles led by professional dancers and culminated in an adjudicated showcase performance in the afternoon. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the students and staff whose combined efforts made this landmark event a success.

We are thrilled to announce that our Saint Maur Dance Team achieved Gold Level in the adjudication, earning perfect scores from 3 out of 4 judges and securing the top score in the prestigious Student Choreography category. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their dedication and talent!

A special thank you goes to our teacher Mr. Dale Geyer for his vision and hard work in creating and smoothly executing this exciting event, providing a valuable experience for the wider KPASS community. The proposal to have such an event originally came from a student from another international school and Mr. Geyer made it possible for KPASS (Kanto Plains Association of Secondary Schools) international schools to attend.
