Marking a Milestone: Graduation Mass for the Class of 2025
June 6th was a day filled with both joy and reflection, as the Class of 2025 was officially bid farewell at a deeply moving Graduation Mass. Held at Sacred Heart Cathedral and presided by Fr Raju, the ceremony marked the end of a significant chapter in the lives of our graduating students and offered a moment to celebrate all they have achieved.
The Mass was a solemn and heartfelt occasion, filled with symbols of gratitude, hope, and new beginnings. Fr Raju delivered an inspiring homily, reminding the graduates of the importance of using their unique gifts to make a difference in the world. He encouraged them to go forward with courage, compassion, and a desire to serve others, living out the SMEOs they have learned throughout their time at Saint Maur
In a true spirit of service, many of the students played active roles in the Mass, participating as readers and offertory servers, showing their commitment to the school community even on their final day. Their involvement reflected the strong sense of leadership and responsibility they have developed over the years.
A particularly touching moment came when Mamma Melodia, the Saint Maur parent choir, performed a heartfelt musical tribute. Their rendition of traditional hymns, followed by a powerful version of Miley Cyrus’ "Fight Song", was a moving farewell gift that captured both the emotion and the excitement of the day. The song’s message of resilience and confidence seemed to echo the spirit of the graduates as they prepare for their next chapter.
Following the Mass, students were embraced by their peers, teachers, and families, with many kind words, hugs, and well-wishes shared on the Sacred Heart Cathedral steps. It was a moment of celebration, reflection, and gratitude for the journey they have taken together.
As we say goodbye to this wonderful group of young people, we do so with pride and affection. The Class of 2025 has left a lasting mark on our school, and they will be missed. We wish them every blessing and success as they step confidently into the future.
