Rugby

It is often difficult for children from overseas who do not have good Japanese language skills to find somewhere to enjoy rugby in Japan. SQUIRES aims to provide an opportunity for English speaking children to pursue rugby and also for English learners to practice their English communication skills in the context of rugby.

Youth Rugby Program at Peverley Place

11−14 years old – SQUIRES ACADEMY
Thursdays, 17:45-19:15

The SQUIRES ACADEMY focus is on developing the fundamental skills of rugby through drills and small sided games. As this is not a team there are no matches with other teams. You can join if you are a player for another club or school, or even if you do not play rugby yet but want to start. We can introduce suitable teams for players who currently do not have a team to play for.

14−18 years old – SQUIRES U18 TEAM
Thursday, 19:15-20:45

The SQUIRES U18 TEAM has been established to provide opportunities for high school age players to enjoy participating in rugby in English. The team plays full contact rugby and from September 2018 will participate in the new Kanto International Development League.
