Sakura Medal celebrations in the library
The library was the centre of celebration this week as students gathered for a host of Sakura Medal parties, marking their reading achievements this year. From the beautiful seasonal decorations to the lively atmosphere, the space was transformed into a festive hub for readers.
Students attended a series of parties, enjoying brownies, drinks, and thoughtfully prepared goodie bags. A photo wall and voting system added to the excitement, giving students the chance to reflect on and share their reading experiences. Programs like the Sakura Medal reading list play an important role in encouraging reading beyond the classroom. By celebrating books in a social and engaging way, they help foster a genuine love of reading and support the development of literacy across the school community, from Elementary School to High School. A big thank you to Ms Hageman for organising these celebratory events, with support from Mr Kato and Mr Tan.
