PSG Bingo Lucky Winners Visit the Chemistry Lab!

PSG Bingo Lucky Winners Visit the Chemistry Lab!

One of the top prizes at the recent PSG Bingo event for Elementary and Montessori students was a visit to the Chemistry Lab. The two lucky winners each brought a friend to participate in a variety of exciting experiments and demonstrations.

The afternoon started with a demonstration of fireworks in a test tube. Students were amazed to see pink flames and hear swooshing sound effects when a gummy bear was placed in the specially melted liquid. They then got their hands on the apparatus and found out how to magically get a hard-boiled egg to move into a flask without touching it. Next came colourful experiments with milk, burning pencils and colourless liquids that turned pink. The students especially seemed to enjoy the colourful milk experiment and found out that they could easily repeat it at home. At the end of the day, they made artificial snow and learned where they had first used it as a baby. If you see one of the lucky winners, why don’t you ask them? Doc S is looking forward to welcoming more lucky winners next year so make sure to attend the next PSG Bingo event.
