On Saturday March 14th, three Senior students from Saint Maur International School were invited to attend an International Forum at Yokohama Science Frontier High School.

The students each prepared a poster on their research during the IB Extended Essay or Science Investigation and presented their work to students and visitors from schools around Japan and Malaysia. The format of the presentations was similar to that at professional scientific conferences, where several hundred attendees toured the posters and asked them questions about their work. All three students were excellent ambassadors for the school and were able to chat with students and researchers from other schools and academic institutions.

The level of research presented was very high and this was an excellent experience for them, giving them a taste of what undergraduate life in a STEM subject may be like. Special congratulations go to one of the group for receiving the award for ‘Best presentation’ on her work for her extended essay. Saint Maur would like to thank Yokohama Science Frontier High School for hosting us and for making it such an enjoyable event.
