Each participant can design their own unique piece — choose your pattern, style, and finishing touches. Add a chain to create a chic crossbody bag or a zipper for an elegant wallet. With endless design possibilities, every creation will be a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that blends tradition with modern style.

Please bring:

  • A vintage obi’s (or several) of your choice—second-hand options are widely available and very affordable.
  • Lining fabric: choose a color/pattern that matches your Obi 
  • Crossbody chain (optional): Can be procured on Amazon
  • Zipper (optional): Can be procured on Amazon
  • A sewing machine with thread, needles, and a seam ripper
  • Scissors / Rotary cutter
  • Marking pencil / chalk
  • Cutting board
  • Iron
